What do we call those? Peanut worm? Can't remember but I have them in my tank too. They'll grow on rocks and acrylic quickly. Only problem I've ever encountered is picking up a piece of live rock and having one of these puncture my skin.

google vermetid snails, in large numbers they are a pest for sure

I agree that it looks like a vermetid snail, though my browser is stubbornly refusing to make the picture large enough to tell for sure. Some reefers can be annoyed by the mucus nets they produce, but others (such as myself) consider them a very beneficial critter due to their ability to keep the water column free of particles (and their mucus nets are a great source of organics for the system). I've never had a problem with them, nor do I know anyone who has aside from the mucus, so I say live and let live!

The only problem I have is I have a huge one thats in the middle of my zoa colony and the mucus net irritates them when they send it out.

not a problem, get some superglue gel and glue the entrance to the tube shut, my biggest problem is running into them when im moving stuff, thankfully havent cut myself yet but i feel its inevitable

Vermetid snail is what it is. Ive noticed the little mucus strings. They dont seem to bother anything but im just afraid of them multiplying to fast, that could be an eyesore. I have been nicked a few times by them. Does anyone know of anything that would eat them?

I have a ton of vermetid snails. They don't bother me and are beneficial for the reasons stated above. They only bother the occasional zoanthids when their mucous nets fall on them. I periodically keep them in check with a pair of little nail clippers.
