Sorry, not sure if this is the right area. So about 6 months ago for kicks I took one of my 3g tanks I use to have setup. I added some substrate, a bunch of macro and several different types of pods. Every few days I feed a bit of flake food.

I now have a crazy pod population in this little tank. I'll sit and watch and can literally see hundreds.(suprised by how big some of them actually are) I assume as there are no predators, only a few snails and crabs. I would like to every couple weeks or so capture a bunch and put into my actual display tank to feed the inhabitants. However, I have no clue how to capture them...? Any ideas? Thanks!

Use trimmed macro into a cup of some sort, dump in tank. Or shake macro off in tank. Or a piece of rock transported in water also. However this would be more to help seed your main tank's fuge then a realistic food source IMO.
