Can you cure dry rock and cycle a tank at the same time?


Or am I stuck with a30 day cure followed by addinf fish flakes for 30 days...?

Im guessing your dry or Base rock was void of any life and ready to use. Then yes u can...

Just cycle it with your tank. If it has lots of life it will probably die.

If your starting a new tank, just rinse off the rock as well as you can & cycle the tank with the rock in it, if it's dry rock, you will still have to kick start the cycle with some type of decay. "Curing" rock just means letting the die off subside, so as to not spike ammonia levels in your display tank. Dry rock will have no die off, thus the need to introduce ammonia to start your cycle. there are a lot of good reads on this subject on this site, I suggest you use these to your advantage.
