So after about 3 years without a tank, I couldn't take it anymore and ended up getting a 60 gallon cube tank for my place. I built a 20 gallon high DIY sump with refugium for filtration that has a chamber for my EuroReef skimmer. Lighting consists of a 150 watt double ended halide, T5 lights, and pinpoint moon LEDs. I tried to 'build' the rock work as minimal as possible, aka bonsai, so the tank wouldn't look like a wall of rocks. It also allows the fish to swim all the way threw the rock structure. Right now I have a flame hawk, geometric hawk, three bangaii cardinals, and a platinum picasso in the tank! This will mainly be a ricordea, zoo, and acan tank. May add select sps such as encrusting montipora in the future. On the plus side, I do have a calcium reactor just sitting beside the tank ready to use.
Below are the tank pics empty and then with the liverock added.
