Question about Candy cane coral and clams

I have something growing in my tank that looks like pictures of candy cane coral. It is black and white with a white center. It is growing on what looks like moss. Does candy cane come in black and white? It came in my live rock---that has been in my tank for a little over a year and just now showing up.
Also when I change my water it looks like my clams are throwing up. Has anyone else seen this in their clams?:hmm1:
I know a picture would help, sorry to say I don't know how to do that yet:sad1:

Does not sound like a candycane. Clams could be spawning triggered by the fresh water change.
Any pics?
