Hello,
I have a twenty gallon tank set up for an orange spot mantis shrimp. The shrimp seems to be doing fine, I've had it for about 4 months.

I have 2 - 3 inches of live sand and about 20 pounds of live rock in the tank. I have never put anything in the tank with the shrimp except its food.

Today I was going to clean the glass and found alot of these tiny white worms. (picture I apologize for it not being clear) If more pictures will help let me know.
They seem to be eating the algea on the glass and they are mainly at the brightest place on the glass.

I forgot to write the size of these little things. They are no bigger than half an inch/1 centimeter.

If anyone can ID them and let me know; a. If they are harmful, b. should I try to get rid of them and c. how should I go about getting rid of them.

I think I had them in a different tank of mine years ago and I can't remember what I did.

Thank you for your help,
Scott

Polychaete epitokes perhaps?

Polychaete epitokes perhaps?

Looks definitely so. Were they swimming also?
