Anybody tried mounting a TrueLumen Pro 12" LED strip in on a stock NC28 hood? They are roughly 12x1x1 inch, which would allow two to be mounted into the "feeding lid" location.

I keep tossing around how to upgrade my PC lighting, I'm torn between switching to an HQI JBJ hood, going lidless and using some type of MH/T5 combo fixture, or just trying to beef up the PC with LED supplements.

Two of these fixtures in 453nm would get my color spectrum closer to where I want it (ideally 14k HQI + actinic T5), while adding 18.2w of LED power and shimmer.

So I guess the answer here is NO.

How about comparisons of TrueLumens Pro's vs the Ecoxotic Stunners?

I can get 2 x 453nm TrueLumens + transformer for $210. That's 18.2w and they look easier to mount because of their included swivel brackets.

The Stunners would take 2 x 445nm and 1 x 403nm + power supply for $160 for a total of 18w.

Anybody tried both of these strips for comparison?
