Apex update problems

First of all, I have a mac. I'm not that great with computers, but followed the directions as best as I could. This is what happens when I try to update:

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

If the Apex is connected via a wireless adapter, the update won't work.

There are also known issues with the Mac updater; it's beta software.

Connect the Apex directly to your router, and beg borrow or steal a Windows notebook from a friend or family member to use for the update.

It is already connected to the adapter. I have parallels running on my mac too, would that work?

Windows inside Parallels should be fine. I use Fusion.
