Im downgrading to a 60g cube from my custom 180g. I went from 400w MH to 10x54w T5's and now would like to use LED's. I just dont know which ones are worth it. I have a profulix controller so want a controllable one. and also it will be mainly sps in the tank
TIA

DIY is the way to go, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You save money, get to make your LEDs do everything that the big name brands do and customize every aspect of them. people are going to say stuff just don't listen. aqua illuminations and pacific sun and all of those other lighting companies are not worth it when you can make a DIY do exactly the same thing as them for about half the price. They are also extremely easy to make as well.

I agree. With the cheaper but same quality parts anyway. It may not do EVERYTHING the AI and pacific sun brands can do but it'll be close enough. They're also extremely easy to put together.

Except I've never seen a fully controllable DIY fixture.... Aquaillumination's are awesome! You will love the controllability, especially from your profilux!

With AI, you'd only need two units for a 60 cube. Either that or vertex are the best IMO.

Yup, using a Mean Well ELN-60-48D driver. Check out rapidled they should have most of the answers your looking for.

To DIY will probably run half as much as purchasing one of the higher end fixtures. I think the lack of controllability is a small price to pay.

I love my AI's...wouldn't trade them for anything!

Sure you can dim DIY, but not really too great of control.

I'd pay extra just for the control of my AI's, no don't about it.
