How to delete EB8?

I want to delete a malfunctioning EB8 before I plug the replacement EB8 in.

I can't delete the old one.

I went to Configuration - module set-up.

Selected the EB8 I want to delete, press submit module change.

Status window pops up but the selected EB8 is still there in the list.

Anybody?

Try unplugging the EB8, then do the delete.

That particular EB8 has been unplugged for days

It says that EB8 has been on power failure for the past 3 days,
I wonder if that's the issue?

I can't plug it back in, it got wet and is toast.

What do I do now?

You can force a scan of the AquaBus (using Init AquaBus) but if you have many devices it could result in things coming back at different addresses. It should delete though.

I wish I knew what Init AquaBus was.

There appears to be no easy way to remove EB8's/EB4's that need to be replaced for some reason. Hopefully Neptune will address this limitation in the future.

I really don't want to stare at old obsolete outlets for the life of my Apex.

Are you sure the EB8 you are trying to delete isn't really one of the ones you have connected? Usually when you delete (which can be done using the web site or display) then should go away; if they come back that is an indication that the Apex found the same address still active and on the AquaBus.

Init AquaBus is a command that can be performed from the Misc page on the website or the System setup using the display.
