Two questions. We are looking to buy a recirculation pump and will go with Tunze since they appear to be the tried and true brand. Our big thing is quiet. We have a 29g reef tank and are looking at this one from BRS: Turbelle® Tunze Nanostream® 6025. Anyone have any experience with this one? The only review I could find was good. We also need a water pump for the sump, again it has to be quiet. We are looking at the Danner Mag-Drive Supreme 2 - 250 GPH Water Pump. The only review on this was good and said it was very quiet. Is this Danner a big enough pump for our 15 gallon sump/refugium?

You really can't go wrong with either of them. Very good brands and excellent performance.

The Tunze are very quiet, I would call them silent. Mag drives are no known fortheir quietness, although the smaller ones may be very quiet. I would look at eheim pump sans well, maybe even water blaster. Tunze silence is another, sicce syncra are pretty quiet, though my 3.0 had a decent hum.

Tunze is great.

I wouldn't call mags quiet by any stretch of the imagination.

Sicce are pretty quiet.
