Hello,
I have an order placed for an Aqueon Modern Series 120g stand
This one...

Does this stand have a center brace between the 2 doors or is it open in the center?

100% positive on this?
The tank I have coming with this is 48x24x24

this would be my assumption as well. Might have an open back for getting a sump under their but most likely will have a brace in the front. At least every stand I've used for a 48" tank has. the only pictures I've found of that brand/styel without are on the much smaller versions

bummer.
That really screws me up.
I appreciate you guys getting back to me on it.
I hope the LFS I placed a deposit with can cancel the order without incurring charges.
At least, maybe if they don't ship it it will incur a minimal restock fee or whatever.
From what I understood prior to the purchase is that they were building stands on demand as opposed to keeping any sort of inventory. For that, I got a feeling I am going to be stuck with paying for something.
Anyways, thanks again for the responses.

It's the exact same design as the basic Aqueon stand with a center brace in front and back... Yes your sump will have to be dropped in from the top of the stand

I did email them earlier today.
I was wanting to start on my sump and was figuring out how high to elevate my protein skimmer to keep it within recommended range while still maintaining a decent volume, so I could figure out my baffle heights.
Here is the response...
"The inside dimensions for the 24X48 modern stand are:
Length- 47 ½ “, Width- 23”, Height- 25 ¼ “
The door opening is 20” X 23” "
It wasn't until I heard "door opening" that I took alarm.
When I submitted the e-mail it was around 3:30pm and I was surprised I heard back so soon (thumbs up for that), but by the time I left work and got home to read it they were gone for the day.
I immediately called the LFS where I put in the down payment... at 6pm on Friday there wasn't anyone around I could talk to. The owner won't be in until Sunday.
It's not at all his fault on this, I asked him specifically for this stand.
I just wish Aqueon's documentation on this was true to the model I was looking at. As it stands now it is deceiving... http://www.aqueonproducts.com/products/modern-series-stands-canopies.htm If you're bored take a look, click on the thumbnails in the rt hand corner of the page.
That's what I was going off of.
I find it very misleading considering this is likely a common occurrence.

Will a 40g Breeder fit if dropped in from the top?

Here's how well a 40b fits in a stock Aqueon stand

I just took this pic
Both pieces are currently taking space in my garage and will be craigs listed shortly
PS: Sorry for the crappy cell pic

Hope I can cancel it... LFS gets tanks Fri and Tues.
It's not there yet, but will likely be there Tues.
I just hope it doesn't get loaded up before I can tell them to cancel as there will likely be some sort of charge for shipping.

I have a 45 under my 150T (which is a four foot by two foot footprint... so same stand dimensions). I removed the side panels to squeeze it underneath.

I talked with my LFS on Sunday and they assured me that the Stand would house the 40B sump with no issue what so ever.
I took delivery of it last night. Here's how it looks...

No issues at all!
Can place the 40B in from the front or back.
I also have 7" of space above my skimmer, so I can elevate in my sump with no issues.
Plenty of room... very happy with the stand.
