I'm trying to stock reef safe fish and picked up a pink spot watchman goby today.
All the reading I did says they may hide or not eat at first and are reef safe.
The first thing my fish did was take three bites from my green cloves coral.
It closed up, but he ripped some new growth that I had been happy to see.
I'm new to the hobby and am just sitting here helpless.
I know 'every fish is an individual' but is this guy feeling his way around?
He went to the other side of the tank for now.
If a fish starts eating coral will it most likely keep eating?
I fed some mysis and flakes.
Maybe it was just hungry. :angryfire:

maybe he saw something crawling on the coral? pods or other tasty treat and was simply trying to get it? Just a thought, keep observing as I don't think these guys are coral eaters. carnivores yes but coral eaters, I dont' believe so.
