Becuz when you remove them, most break at the bases.:headwalls:

That is one disadvantage of DE bulbs. You need to carefully grab them at BOTH ends, just inside of where they attach to the base of the bulb and gently pull, or rock it out of the fixture. Same for installing new ones.

Yea, I had these fixtures 3 yrs and I was able to remove the previous bulbs out no problem. This go around I was replacing the bulbs the other day and it broke and some of the plastic pieces shattered and fell into the tank.

It's a minor PITA but I take my fixtures down when replacing bulbs. If they're going to break I'd rather it be far away from the tank.

Yep PITA. 150s dont have this problem but my 250w does.
