Quick question - finished assembly of my CS-1 yesterday and set it up in a spare tank. I have water bypassing the o-ring between the cone and collection cup neck.
I have been out of the hobby for a while and the cone style skimmers are somewhat new to me.
Any suggestions on where to start with trouble shooting?
Many thanks in advance,
Mike

Heard back directly from Justin. Here is his input:
"It should stop leaking once the o-ring conforms to the neck. Sometimes the neck groove has slight variations which causes the ring to contact the neck unevenly, but this will typically resolve itself in a day or so. Also you can lightly coat it with silicone grease which will help give it a better seal."
Thanks Justin! Awesome products and great customer service... much appreciated in this day and age.

I have the same problem with mine. It fits tight and I can't get the skimmer neck to seat without rolling the O ring out of the groove. I will play with it and hope it settles in.

Hi Bill, try a little silicone grease. That will make it much easier to remove & replace the neck/cup.

The silicone grease was an instant fix. I would recommend to anybody.
Thanks Justin,,
