View Full Version : 130lb rock order, highly recommended

I ordered 130 lb of rock from Steven on july 9th.

After discussing what I wanted, he sent me a picture of the order prior to shipping. Rocks were shipped out in 3 boxes on 11th.

Due to the budget cuts at USPS, shipping became an issue, and boxes got separated. One box arrived 19th, one box arrived around 23rd and was not delivered and one arrived yesterday, the 25th.

I did not pay for express or priority shipping so I cannot complain about the shipping time of 130lb. However, i would like to point out that Steven went above and beyond in helping me track down the boxes and offered to reship the rock if boxes did not arrive as expected. He emailed me updates every morning (obviously I could look up the tracking myself, but its a breath of fresh air when the shipper cares about anything beyond the "sale")

Long story short, excellent service and i would absolutely buy from this cat again.

Below are the pics. Rock is very porous. It comes in dusty so be sure to rinse it. Steven said there is no reason to cook it and a good rinse is all it took to clean it. I will post the shot of the tank later as its lights out now and I dont want to mess around at the moment. Here you go....

This is a comment about this post, we were more then willing to replace his order. It was a special order that would be hard to replace easily, but we would be glad to do so. Because every costumer deserves timely delivery. Used USPS because UPS was messing up the boxes and returning them to us. Then we had to re-pack and re-ship. Making it a long time in transit to the costumers in that area. We shipped 12 boxes the same day we shipped his. The rest arrived in a timely manner.

To avoid any further problems like this. We just closed a great deal with FED-EX. To ship all lower 48 states (most zip-codes in 3-4 days) The eastern states in

2 days. This will be better for all of our costumers. We value our costumers time. They should not be waiting for their order so they can set up there tank.

We will provide estimated transit times. And up-date tracking information by e-mail regularly so our costumer don't have to send time tracking their orders.

I'm still trying to decide how much rock I want to add to my system but I know where I'm going to be getting it from. WOW!! Sounds like amazing customer service and I know this isn't the only post up about how great you guys are!
