Vdm?

How many AI Sol modules can be controlled by one vdm. It seems like the AI controller can only control 6 if I'm remembering correctly. My in progress upgrade will likely need 7 modules and I'd like to run it all off of my new Apex.

I don't see any information from neptunes site that will limit the number of AI's it can control.

I suspect that any limit is in the AI system. So that limit of 6 would probably apply to the VDM too. But that's just a guess. Send that question to support@Neptunesys.com.

AI answered my support ticket and stated that there is no limit to the number of modules.

How do you hook more modules up since there's only one serial port on the VDM box?

They daisy chain from one module to the next, just like with the AI controller. For some reason I thought I read that only 6 were controllable with the AI controller, but Jason at AI confirmed that you can daisy chain as many as you'd like. You run the first module to the vdm via the AI interface cable, then link them together with the 3.5mm cable that came with the AI's.
