Hey guys I tried google, yahoo and RC search and cant seem to find anyone else talking about the fact that the radium 250 se bulb is too short to center in a lumenmax 2 pendant. The bulb is considerably shorter than any other typical 8ish" long bulbs. This one is like 6" so I cant get the center of the arc tube far enough to center the bulb...what gives?

Not sure, it seems like something new? Because every on I had used on those reflectors centered OK if I recall.

I don't think it is a big deal being off a smidge. But, a possible soulution could be to get a file or dremel and cut the slot on the adjustor a little to allow it to go in further.

Where did you purchase the 6" Radium? Are you sure it's a Radium? Here is the measurement (not my picture but I can measure it for you tonight if you want):

It sure looks like 8" to me.

Yeah thats the same as mine. Heres a measure of the radium vs another 20k from coralife. The coralife is the same size as every other 250 ive had, the radium is different.

I guess ill have to slot the housing to be able to adjust it out further as I plan to run radiums exclusively. This may help with running a mugul mount led moonlight as well. Anyone ever used those? I really cant tell how they mount. Im talking about http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-supplies/RB-ML-MOG.html

If you are measuring just the tube, yes that's correct. It's roughly ~6". Lots of bulbs have different size. Longer:

And these are similar to Radium:
