Just got my first clam and my cleaner shrimp is all over it when I turn out the lights,clam is shut but the cleaner is pecking at it,are these two compatible?

They are compatible.

Most likely the shrimp is cleaning some tasty morsels off the clam.

i have three clams and a cleaner shrimp no problems yet +1 to cleaning

My derasa is getting what looks to be "cleaning" by the shrimp , & snails..even the hermits are pecking at the shell but NOT the mantle...lets hope it stays that way.
