Hello all,

I have a 37g mixed reef with a couple clowns, shrimp goby, rgb, snails and hermits. A couple weeks ago, one of the branches of my Monti digi broke off out of nowhere. It looks cleanly cut and both ends; both ends are alive and well. Today, I ate breakfast watching my tank (as usual) and everything was fine. I go brush my teeth, come back, and I see another piece of my Monti broken. I have included a picture. Does anyone have any ideas on how this happened?

What kind of clowns you got?

Just regular false percs. They are very docile.

No turbos, they knock everything over. I only got ceriths, nerites, and nassarius.

suspects:

-the clowns, i highly doubt it though.. false perc clowns don't have the power to break that branch.

-Someone in your house, maybe someone is playing with your tank while you are away.

-You.. sometimes you can break things and don't notice it until later.

You can look wrong at a digi like one in the pic an it'll break! Mine get huge then a large tang, butterfly, rabbit, or wrasse will chase a piece of food and break it all to pieces.

I hadn't been in the tank for a week so it definitely wasn't me. The only other person is my gf but she's scared of reaching in the tank. the clowns are a slim possibility. The Monti isn't mounted solid with epoxy. It's just wedged in a little crack so there is still a little wiggle room. I don't have any other large fish in there.
