Complete tear down.
Lots of buckets.
Don't move your tank with water/sand in it, it's dangerous for the bottom glass.

Livestock are priority one. The depth of the sand bed is pertinent too, along with the size of the tank of course.

i had a service do my 65 gal and a 29 gal. they charged me 3/400 bucks. i stayed with guys and helped out learning along the way. The way i looked at it, it wouldn't take much in livestock loose to cover the cost of the service and I got to see how the pros do it. As said, lots of buckets. Premixed RO saltwater on site as well as plain RO on site. it really was more grunt work than rocket science. it certainly is a complete and toatl tear-down. everything i had was in buckets. Good Luck!!

Good luck with the move! :)
I have a 60 gal with about 4" of sand. We moved my it during a December. I put my rock, corals, fish and etc in a cooler then the rest of the water in trash cans with wheels. We had a bit of a hassle with the power not getting turned on at the new house that was 25 miles away. I must have got really lucky b/c everything stayed in the cooler for 2 days with blankets wrapped around it. I don't know how many hand warmers I went thru.....had them in ziplock bags. The only thing I lost was an emerald crab.
