Eel for a 44 gallon pentagon

What eel would fit in a 44 gallon pentagonal corner aquarium that is about 21 inches tall?

There aren't many affordable eels small enough. Would you consider an eel-like fish like an engineer goby or a green wolf eel?

Wolf eels are cool; that was my original plan for a 29 gallon at school, but they got too big.
