Received the new gig I ordered from LA this morning. I picked it up at FedEx to shorten the transit time. Got it home and floated for 15 minutes. Transfered it and the bag water to a bucket for acclimation. Water looked fouled so I checked the salinity and had a match so in to the 180 tank it went.

The anemone attached immediately and was quite sticky to the touch. The mouth is open with a small protusion of the internal part of the nem, so we will see how it does.

Here are a few shots after it first went in.

Yea, I've had a haddoni just like that before.
Are you sure you ordered a Gigantea?

Yes I ordered the Gig last week when they were in stock, looks like they messed it up. Just checked the packing list and they gave me a Stichodactylia sp. instead of the Gig. I had ordered a Blue Maxima clam from Divers Den as well, I received a call that the clam had died so they cancelled the entire order. I asked them to pick out a new blue Maxima from DD and re do the order. Looks like they entered it incorrectly. They sent a gold Maxima instead of the blue one and the Haddoni instead of the Gig. Time to make a call

Have 2 Haddoni's in the same tank in the sand, the anemone was placed before lights were on and didn't know I had a Haddoni

Looks more like a haddoni in my eyes. Are there any veracue(or purple spots) on the underside?

No markings on the column, definitely looks like they sent a Haddoni. Bad part is the Gigs are now out of stock again

Thanks

Decided to move the Haddoni to the sand before it got too attached to the rock, mouth is almost closed and no protrusion.

Now time to call LA.

Spoke to Live Aquaria and they agreed that I ordered a Gig but received a Haddoni. Received a full credit, guess I will donate the Haddoni to our local reef club for the next raffle. Now I'll wait for another gig to be in stock
