I purchased the Red Sea Algae Control Kit a few weeks ago from Marine Depot. I love it so far except my only problem is that i seem to have a precipitate forming when i run the nitrate test. My final results come out reading what seems to be 0ppm but i also see a precipitate form. Is this supposed to happen?
I'm getting the same exact results as the person in this thread.

Hi Tad,
The residue that forms on the bottom of the vial is part of the chemical reaction.
Watch this short video, I hope it would help.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that this wasn't something that was abnormal. If i need to do a high range test, I'll know by getting the maximum value as the result when running the low range test, correct? Thanks again!

You are correct!
There is a table in the manual that will assist you translating the reading of the dilution.
