how long might it take for the eco dry rock to turn like the real live rock ?

A few months or a few years.

Depends on many factors. Do you have LR in the tank with it? Are you keeping your alk, calc and mag levels up? I've got 30 pounds cycling in a bucket with 5 pounds of haitan rock right now. It's been a few weeks and it's losing it's bright color.

Mine took about 8 months for about 30lbs of dry with 20lbs of live
