I got 3 blue tangs from the store 2 weeks ago, and now 1 of them start having ichs all my other fishes look fine beside those 3 blue tangs. I've already did a 50% water change and it doesn't seems like it gets any better.
I'm planning to use paraguard for a 21 days treatment but I am wondering do I need to do water change while I'm doing the treatment or I wait until the treatment is over. Also, I wonder if there is any other good ideas to kill ichs beside using paraguard.
Thank you!

Aslo how big is your tank? 3 blue tangs in one tank might be asking for problems unless your tank is a couple of hundred gallons minimum.

I have a 95 gallon tank

I hate to tell you, but your tank is too small for one blue tang let alone 3! maybe see if you can return 2 of them. Tangs usually are extreemly aggressive toward their own kind which is why only one should be kept in a tank unless the system is 400+ gallons. you will start to have problems with them not getting along soon which would end up to only one of them living.

Yes cupramine is very effective but you should ramp up the dose gradually. I usually ramp up to full strength over 3 or 4 days.

since I hv live rocks in my tank do u think it will be kind of hard?

Yes it will. This is why you should quarantine all of your fish.
You have a few options:
If it is a FOWLR you can measure the copper daily to see how much the live rock absorbs, or you can try hypo.
The other option is to put all of your fish into qt and leave your display fish free until the disease dies off.

Please read the following link thoroughly (including the two included links on detailed treatment methods).

No "successful" treatments (copper and hyposalinity) can be applied to the display tank, unless it is fish-only with no live rocks or live sand of any kind (no calcerous materials in the tank). It must have no decorations at all either. Live rocks/sand and common aquarium decoration will absorb copper and render the treatment very difficult and in most cases unsuccessful.

You must remove all of the fish into a bare-bottom quarantine tank with only a power filter running as well as PVC pipes for fish to hide. Of course, the quarantine tank must be cycled prior to the treatment.

Do not waste your money on Paragard. Only two methods are proven 100% successful all the time, if administered correctly. There are countless number of drugs that claim to cure ich, but they either flat out don't work or only work partially.

On a side note, 95 gallon is too small even for one blue tang, let alone three. The minimum required tank size for ONE tang is a 6-foot-long 180 gallons. Tangs are also very aggressive towards members of their own genuses. I highly recommend you to return two of the tangs and consider other also beautiful fish (or tangs from different genuses). In the future, please do extensive research before buying a livestock as it will save you headache (perhaps also heartache) in the long run.

if you plan on using cupramine (which works the best and should be done in qt) make sure to get a compatible test kit to test for it. Use the same brand, seachem, test kits.
