So dry rock has a ton of trapped Phosphate. I am inclined to treat for it using
lanthanum chloride. This thread has a good discussion including links:

Given that the tank will be a macro I thought that Phosphate=good. But I think that controlled phosphate dosing is a far better approach than uncontrolled phosphate release. Inputs from the plant specific crowd?
