Coralline?

My tank is starting to develop tons of random tiny green circular spots on the glass. I dont have a picture of them yet because I dont think they're big enough to get a good picture. I was wondering if this could possibly be the start of coralline algae? or if anyone else has noticed anything similar in their tanks? I tried to run them off with my finger just to see and they dont come off unless I scrape them.

Sounds like coralline alge to me but hard to say for sure with out pics. If it is just get a razor blade and carefully scrape it off.

I forgot to mention, there are a lot of these spots below the sand on the glass also.
