I know most people have a tough time keeping their Elegance corals alive....mine seems to be doing very well, opens up every day, about 9-10" diameter fully extended. Problem is that it's a snail shell graveyard around the Elegance all the time. Last week I saw a tentacle get mingled with a snail on a nearby rock and the snail eventually got pulled in...is this normal? I can't really move the Elegance anywhere else (its on the sand now) and not touch anything due to its size....suggestions?

I had the same thing. I wasnt sure why but it was a regular thing to clear out snail shell from around it

+1 Same here, I think that if they get to close to the coral it will sting them to death. I have five empty shells around my coral, all cerith snails.
