anyone try this one out? I think one of the stores in the area had one but when I was there yesterday it was gone. they were only running the blues just to show the color under it on there frag tank that had other MH bulbs on it. the color was amazing though.

1w leds are worthless for a reef. Would make a nice light for a FOWLR tank, but there are plenty of 55led 3w EBAY fixtures for $169 if that is your interest.

The cheapest reasonable LED systems that I have come across yet which MAY be suitable for reef use are the Apollo fixtures. They use a 3w bridgelux LED but only drive it at just over 2w. BoostLED also uses the same diodes over their "nicer" light fixture.

I am sure there are people that run 1w leds on sps reefs just fine, they look like reefkois

I bought one from of these lights from ebay and let me tell ya it looks just like the evolution led. They are crazy bright.

this is the same light but with 3w leds, could i grow softies with these? My tank is 24" high..

not sure where you are located in Florida

In Lake Worth there is a store called Mark's Arc
They have one actually at teh store. Saw it there today. same price as this one I believe

dont get them there a knockoff of the Apollos and 1w wont do any good... i have the apollos in 16k and the growth and color are 10xs MH > get apollos

I got one as a gift and it is super brite my corals look great. Our local LFS had them in stock .
