I know most people dont think it's a good idea to put a Rose in that small of a tank, but im going for it. Just wondering if any of you believers have any tips for introducing to the tip or starting out process that will help its chances...

I have mine in a biocube29 for over a month now and is doing great. But it will move to a bigger home in a few months after I finish cycling my 72 gallon

If you have stock lighting (PC) bump it up. It's going to need more light than what the stock PCs can supply. Initially (few weeks/months) the nem will look fine, but it will ultimately bleach without adequate light.

I wouldn't put it in a brand new tank either. Anemones tend do do better in more mature tanks.

As was mentioned in another thread you started, I wouldn't put much, if any corals in the tank. The anemone probably will not stay exactly where you want it to. As they cruise around the tank, they will go stinging any coral they touch. Usually, the nem will win.

This isn't meant to scare you. People that tell you to stay away or proceed with caution say so because of experience. At the end of the day, you are going to do what you are going to do.

Its 50 50 . They will move around looking for a good spot , if he finds one u might be fine but if it keeps moving you could have problems...

Ive heard to turn the lights off and turn off the power heads for a day or so and let him find his spot?

LaOtIn-what lighting do you have? Im planning on getting a MP10 within the week too, so that should give epic flow rates, then eventually Ill spring for LED lighting and my tank will be pretty dialed in.

Question when the anenome stings something does it shock it, or kill it? In other words would I have time to move things around when I see where it wants to settle in and/or should I take all the corals out and let it find a spot and then put them back in accordingly?

Make sure you leave plenty of room, and I am not kidding when I say plenty of room. I wish I had asked here like you did before I got one. needless to say, I don't keep the RBTA anymore, as it is taking up too much real estate space in my 60G. oh and another tip, do not add any other coral that you are not willing to lose (like an expensive piece) in the same tank.

what Im thinking now, is that if it does grow and get too obnoxious, then that means A: Im doing a good job with water conditions and B: maybe it's time to get another tank just for anenome's and clowns...

mine is at least 18" across so they definatly can outgrow a 29.

I wouldn't do this. Part of it's search is for an appropriate spot deals with light and flow. If disrupted I would think as soon as you return your tank to normal the anenome would be on the move again.
Agree with the previous poster, you need more than pc lighting for this animal to thrive.

What kind of lighting do you have? So far mine's doing ok. He's at the top and in the back. I think he likes the flow and being close to the light. What and how often should I feed? I have frozen mysis shrimp & krill...
