I know these are beneficial to our tanks but i am finding them in plague proportions in my tank. anything predate on these? Im sure a sand sifting starfish does but I would rather not go there. what about a CBB?

Usually wrasses eat them in my experience. But if you cut down on the food going into your tank some should die off.

Like bristleworms, their population is controlled by the food available. Cut down on your feedings and the population should balance itself out. Another option is to offer them to local reefers. A lot of people would love to have them!

Thanks for the advice, I have plenty of wrasse in my tank 4 in total.

getting them out is not really an option, they burrow into rock and are impossible to get out but I will cut down on feeding and see how that goes.

I don't wish to eradicate them just thin them out. I was hopping that there would be a natural predator of them like a CBB or something that would help keep them under control.

again thanks.
