A scallops diet is more difficult, so, if it were me, I would stick with a clam. I think as far as which kind is just up to you. They need good lighting, but you can place them higher up if your tank is deep. However, I would be concerned that the niger trigger would nip at it.

Yeah I've been planning to remove some fish and my first priority is the niger trigger

Ok i got the niger trigger out so are there anymore fish that might pick at a clam?

Kyle, how well are your anemones doing and how long have you had them? I was under the impression that 4x54 t5's wouldn't be enough light for an anemone or a clam in a 75g (18 in deep). What about placement, did you have to place them high up to keep them happy?

I ask because I was thinking about getting a nem myself, but I planned on waiting until I upgraded to MH lights. If they can do well under my current setup I can go ahead and buy the one I want at the LFS while they still have it.

I have two bulb anemones and they moved themselves away into the shade a dark spot in my tank. For bulbs anemones I think that as long as you feed them once a week they should be fine but I have a pair of maroons and perculas in another so maybe that helps??

In regards to the anemones that need bright lights, I think your talking about carpet anemones because bulb anemones in my experience aren't concerned on how much light they get. As long as they have a deep crevice or whole they can attach their foot in then your good but remember that they sting other corals while or if they move around. I got stung by a bulb and it kinda tickled but I had little bruise for a few days.

As you can clearly see in my picture, this anemone is "hidden" from the light

That's awesome. Can't wait to get mine. The hiding one actually is the same as the one I'm looking at pretty much.

As long as its a bulb or bubble anemone your fine
