pH Probe

Lately, I've been noticing that my pH would jump up to about 8.7-8.8 for no reason. When that happen, I turn off my apex and then on and everything would come back to normal reading at around 8.3-8.4. Does this mean my probe is going bad or I just need to re-calibrate? Hopefully that's the case and not something wrong with the apex. The apex and probe are about 5 months old.

Might be interference from something else. Try moving the cable away from other wires and see if that helps at all.

Actually my maxijet pump is right underneath the probe. Hm.....wonder if that's causing the problem.

Doubt it. Probably something with high current demand like a MH ballast. Easy enough (usually!) to move the wires temporarily even you have to drape them on the floor, to see if that's it or not.
