Hey everyone, I have a reef tank on the second floor of my house. The only downside to it is that you can here the vibrations from the skimmer on the first floor. Are there any suggestions for silencing it? I have tried tub liner which may little difference. I was thinking of glueing rubber to the bottom of the pump and really any piece of the skimmer that is touching the sump.

Do you have any of the little suction cups that come with heaters, power heads, etc? Put a few of those under it as a temporary solution to see if that will solve the problem.

get a couple piece of regular plastic Tube, cut it in half, then you can slide it into either sides of the pump, so the pump would sit on one half of the tube ...

basically same Idea as the suction cups ..

I used rubber hose wired tied to the pump and that silenced the vibrations
