Can someone please tell me if this is Aptasia? It just started growing on the liverock, if it isnt id like to keep it.

hard to see pic but looks like an aptasia to me.

Yes it is! I could recognize these anemonies anywhere. Make a kalk paste and kill it or inject with lemon or lime juice. If you can remove the rock easy enough to burn them with a grille lighter.:smokin:

Why are these so bad? I have had 2 growing in my tank and they don't cause any harm. I'm not educated on this obviously...sorry

Kill it. Don't remove it mechanically, it will just produce more. Kalk will kill them quickly.

inject with lemon or lime juice?I can do that... I dont have any caulk, and I dont really want to grab that rock out there is a bristle worm in it. Blech

Oh an i think aptasia sting corals, and fish and stuff and spread like weeds, Im pretty sure thats why they are bad

Think of aiptasia as a weed they multiply rather quickly and they can sting and stress other corals in your tank. I have had good success with aiptasia x but it will bleach the coraline algae on your rocks.

Yep. That's one for sure. Tried lemon juice without any luck. Aiptasia x works the best. One dose to em n there done for. Besides lime n lemon juice will lower ph if use to much n you have to inject directly into them.

Hey also... Not sure what this other thing is... I can try and get a picture if ya need one, but not sure how well it will turn out.. looks SORT OF like the aptasia, but is all the way clear and has little yellow dots on the end of its tentacles. <-- spell check tried to tell me i meant testicles HAHA. yeah so should I dose that guy too?
