Hey guys

I am trying to bring my fresh mixed water to optimum range. After testing the Tropic Marin Pro Reef salt it has low alk(6.36 hanna) and low cal(380 Sera). I am doubting these numbers because of the sticky. Anyway, I just started dosing BRS Recipe 1(raises ph) so thats what I used to dose the fresh mix. Now the PH is 8.62(apex). How do I bring it back down? Should I mix more with it and just buy some BRS Recipe 2?

Also, can I dose Recipe 1 and Recipe 2 at the same time if the PH stays to high. Or will it stabilize once I get the numbers up and not dosing quite so much. I have a four pump GHL that I have yet to hook up so there will be an extra pump.

The pH will drop with more aeration. I'd just add a small powerhead and wait a bit. pH at 8.6 should be fine for adding supplements, if you wish, although I'd use the baking soda version. You can mix the recipe 1 and 2 supplement in the tank as the pH dictates.
