I'm a little puzzle at this point. When I was keeping LPS and SPS, I had my CA-Reactor running. About a year a go, I converted my tank to mostly anemones. I started to turn down my reactor and notice, my alk and ca started to drop. So I turned it back up. Recently I just ordered a bunch of Profilux and the doser so I pulled my reactor down 2 days ago. My Profilux package is arriving today so I'm dosing BRS 2 parts manually these past couple days and doing a lot of water test along with it. I'm dosing about 50ml of ALK and 40ml of CA daily just to keep a dKH of 9.0 and CA of 450ppm. My magnesium is at 1500ppm.
What is using all my ALK and CA?

2 12"+ gigantea anemone
1 10"+ haddoni
2 4" RBTA
1 3" frogspawn
3 1" frag of chalice
10 trochus snails
1 fighting conch
2 hermits
1 emerald crab
and some fish

Coraline algae.

hate to admit it, but this is probably true if you have lots already. I have an anemone only tank and my coraline will suck it down over time.

I agree that coralline algae can suck down 2-3 dKH per day in some systems. Two of mine were like that.
