Are 1mm nls pellets too big for ocellaris clownfish? Should I go with smaller size?

You should be ok. If the fish do seem to have trouble with the pellets you can always soak them in a cup of water for a few minutes prior to feeding. This will make them a little bit easier for the clown to swallow.

I use the 1 mm for all my fish. Are you sure they make a smaller size?

I think they make a .5mm size.

1mm just right for clowns.. unless you have very small ones those are perfect

I wish I bought 1mm. I purchased 1.5mm for my clowns and they have been having trouble. I've resorted to flake food for now. The soaking in water before hand sounds like a good idea. I'll try that.

I would agree, unless they are still very young 1mm should be fine. I have 2 medium sized clowns and a firefish and they all do fine with 1mm. I feed NLS pellets and Elos pellets.
