With just the blue xp-e LEDs.

All LEDs on.

The pics don't do justice. There from my phone. But so far I've had good Sps growth and enjoy how my tank is doing for its young age.

Hey bill and Rick. Right now in my setup I have 15 rb, 8 cw, 1 red LEDs in my tank. I was wondering what benefit would my corals get if I were to add a green led to my setup?. Would it b worth trying it?

It will do very little for growth. Using Greens, Reds, Warmer Whites and even UV are to excite the different pigments in Corals. This is very common in SPS. Its not an exact science as there are many different factors that influence coral pigmentation.

Experimenting with Reds Greens & UV is a great idea to get the best colour out of your SPS colonies. Warm and Neutral Whites tend to make your tank look yellow so unless your water is crystal clear you may want to pass on those.

Bill

BTW the tank looks good. Nice build:thumbsup:

Took some PAR readings for "the reefer" tonight. Not bad at all! Very similar PAR coverage pattern to an AI SOL.

Thanks Ted again for coming out and checking the par. I wonder if I would of raised the voltage on the whites, would it have made a big difference in par? I have the blues on 9v and the whites on 4.5. I wish I would of thought of it that day.

Also thanks bill the tank is coming along great. Still young but growing. Hopefully I can have a great sps tank in the future.
