Charles,
Welcome to ReefCentral!
I see that the 80GPD TFC membranes that you used to sell are no longer. Since the only available membranes are the 60 or 90, which would require a new Flow Restrictor.
What happened to the 80GPD TFC membrane?
Was the membrane always rated for something else and just sold that way? Was it a marketing ploy?
Lastly, how do the rejection rates compare on the 60 or the 90? Does it really matter?

It’s a toss-up depending upon your water pressure, temperature and TDS. The 60’s average about 70 GPD and the 90’s do about 100 GPD, under standard test conditions. Without knowing all of those parameters, I’d guess the 90 GPD would be closest.

All of our SpectraSelect membranes (including the one you purchased in your CSP-DI-80) are individually tested on our premises to the following specifications: 60 psi water pressure, 77 deg F water temperature and 500 ppm TDS. Our ratings are conservative and most likely your 80 GPD membrane was doing better than that. See our Membrane Replacement Guide (http://spectrapure.com/manuals/MemReplGuide.pdf) for details on our testing procedures and calculations.

Conductivity rejection on our tested SpectraSelect membranes is all above 98%. The average conductivity rejection of our membranes in stock is 98.3%, with some membranes reaching 99%. With our untested membranes, Neither I or anyone else supplying you with a dry untested membrane can guarantee conductivity rejection and actual flow rates.
