Thanks.
I am hoping all six will reach maturity and I can perpetuate the cycle and start selling eggs to LFSs.
I would like to get some from another source to avoid inbreeding though.

If we are both successful I would like to do an egg swap at some point to help deepen the gene pool.
Best of luck to you as well!

Well I have good news and bad news.
The bad news in my six are now five. I could not find any remains?
The good news is they are growing and have started eating frozen PE mysis.
Buying the live mysis gets expensive real quick.

Uncle Salty 05

It's not as hard as it is expensive.
I am afraid I am going to lose mine to to lack of funds to continue to buy live mysis.

Not going well.
I am down to one.
When I bought the "clutch of eggs" five had already hatched.
I should not have bought them. Eggs that hatch prematurely rarely make it.

yeah, i think that is part of what happened with mine as well. i still thought that having them live for a couple weeks meant we had a shot.

Hobogato, how are yours doing?
My remaining one is doing well and will probably be released from its net in the next week or two.
He has stopped inking and I think he now associates me with food.
Still turns red but does not ink.

I don't like it when an experienced cuddle keeper looses them. :( I just got a clutch of 12 today, so we will see.

I am not that experienced at cuttle keeping.
This was my second attempt. Both times I think the mistake I made was releasing them from the breeder net too soon.
I thought they were too big to fit through the grille I have on the stand pipe drain but I was obviously mistaken.
As fascinating as I find them I don't think I will make a third attempt anytime soon. Just too damned expensive for the first few weeks.
Good luck with your 12!

I got mine at Exotic Aquatic.
Just west of federal hwy on Oakland Park Blvd on the north side.
It is a small place, but they get a good variety of species in.
If you sign up for their updates Rob (the owner) will send e-mails every Friday telling you what he is getting in.
I lost all of mine, sorry.
Good luck!
