Long story short......some guy on craigslist was looking for $400 bucks for the tank, buyer never showed....called me back the next day and told me to take it for $100 bucks..guy was moving out that night lol

Here is what I got

125 aga aquarium with corner overflow
Stand
Canopy
3x150 watt current usa mh with 4x96 watt pc
35 gallon or so refugium/sump
little giant pump

All I had to do to get the tank ready was paint the stand and canopy black

I have no idea how old the mh or pc bulbs are and will be replacing those pretty soon, but a great deal methinks

I'll give you $110 for it right now! that's a $10 profit for YOU! what a win/win situation uh? :)

Shorten the pipe on the intake for your return pump, you need some space so the cooling fan on the pump can get some air.

Grats on the find!

I wouldn't be happy with the clear tubing being used for the return though, at least not from where I am looking. There doesn't seem to be a clamp, so I am guessing it is either cemented or glued. I am pretty sure none of the cement/glue on the market is made/rated for that tubing material. Just hoping to help avoid potential headache of a seal bursting or something like that.

havent posted in forever.........bump for some questions and new pics

1. Tanks been running for about 2 months now with NO skimmer.........I do 10% water changes weekly and everything seems happy. I have no plans at the moment for any SPS...........do I need a skimmer since Im doing weekly water changes?

2. The light that is currently on the tank is a 3x150 watt mh with 4 96 watt pc. The thing is that my buddy is setting up a 125 sometime this year and I agreed to sell him the light and I will be looking for something to replace it with. Im really a t5 guy, but cant find any 72'' t5 fixtures (fixtures that have 72'' bulbs) Do they exist? Opinions

Also, Ive been dosing vitamin c and my zoas are looking better than ever!!

You can always do 2 36" but I would just one 48 inch light and put my coral under it. just my 2 cents.

A few pics.

Id like to apologize for their quality..........Using a cheap $60 dollar digital camera

First few are the beginnings of my zoa garden

and the last one is a FTS

Nothing says you have to have a Skimmer. If the tank is running fine and you keep up on cleaning and doing water changes you should be fine.

I got my 360 with 300-500lb of rock. A bunch of random pumps and boxs of junk. Some lighting. A bunch of sand and enough red brick squares to make a patio for $500 off craigs. Guy wanted a gun safe and was in the absolute middle of nowhere :)
