Hello:

Think it's probably a lost cause but will ask anyways, but is there a way of using my X10 modules with the Apex. Would like to control some lights in my greenhouse that are currently working perfectly with my AC2 and X10.

Yes. You use a control line interface module (pl513) and connect it to the control port on the controller. Define a virtual outlet with the correct address and you're good to go. Add the power modules as needed.

Only the Apex and Apex Lite can do this; the Apex Jr cannot.

Great, this is looking better and better. So I can actually go without a EE8/4 and use X10 for awhile. I assume at a later point I can use both the X10 and EE8/4.

Yes, you can mix and match at any time but keep in mind there are benefits to the EBx AquaBus devices, they can detect connection (and loss of connection), they support fallback (when connection to the Apex is lost) and they can record things like power consumption. Fallback and connection status is not available when using X10 devices.

Yes, EBx most definitely have advantages, but if my two light timers in the greenhouse can run on the legacy X10 and the EBx on my reef I am a happy camper.

Yup a subtle difference thats not overtly obvious when comparing editions
...and remote/multiple tank control is why I'll be upgrading for that very reason....
