Just broke my hydrometer and figured I would upgrade to a refractometer, any input ?

I have the Marine Depot refractometer. Works good.

Thanks, I see that these tools seem to have a wide range on cost, is there anything that I should be looking for?

I find the ATC " Automatic Temperature Control" a good feature. I've been using this one for 4 years and its the best way.

ATC is used for TDS meters not refractometers :-)
I work with different type of refractometer for my job and my employer changes the manufactor all the time on us, but they all do the same. Generally the more cost is better quality, you get what you pay for.

Please check your information before posting. The ATC feature on a refractometer gives you a more accurate reading since it is self-adjusting. Salinity changes relative to water temperature.

A little pricey but that digital one from on Bulk Reef looks kinda cool.

I have the same unit as grigsy. Accurate and priced right. I use Randy's DIY calibration fluid- highly recommended- I did have to pick up an accurate scale ($100) to measure out the table salt (kosher works best because it completely disolves) for the recipe. The DIY fluid calibrates at 35 ppt for natural seawater which this refractometer measures as opposed to brine solution.
