Plastic Contamination?

Is there any harm in using the common black pond planter baskets in a frag system? I've been trying some to float 'nems, shroom and zoas due to the fact that they are perforated and allow some water flow while keeping the squishies contained. The only thing I've found is that a certain type of plastic will harm shrimps. I can't find material data on these ones.

I can't tell what type of plastic they use, but I'd probably just use them and not worry too much.
