Sorry, I was at the show and it was quite hectic. We showed the 6095, New improved 6105 with 24V jumper and wide flow option, Coral flex and the new aluminum bracket RO station 8550. I will be at Reefapalooza and with luck have a few more new items to show then.

I need to check out that coral flex from you Roger. This JB Aquaweld I've been using gets crumbly and loses it's hold too easily.

Roger , what improvements are coming with the 6105's. Thinking of replacing my 2 aging 6100's

Cheers

I am not Roger but I believe the only changes are the addition of the 24v jumper which is available now from Roger. As well as the front housing of a 6205 for a wider flow pattern choice as well as the current housing. The pumps will increase in price a bit once they are added to the kit, as well as the housing will be available separately for current owners but at a lower price than they are now.

So currently they run at 18V right?

I have 4 brand new in their boxes waiting for my build to be ready I just forget this detail.

So the proposed flow improvement for these pumps is a 24V jumper and a 6205 housing?

Will this combination produce more gph and will it reach the same distance within the tank as a 6105 / 18V combo?

Yes they have a 12v and an 18v in the box.

No the flow increase is solely from the jumper. To quote Roger in a recent post

First, to clarify, the flow increase is due to the jumper, the higher voltage increases the pump speed. The jumpers are free, in the US we have them now.

The kit is for wide flow option and starting at the end of the year will be included in the box, it is the 6205.130 and 6205.200 at a much lower price and equal to the price increase of the pump including these items. I expect this to be available in November. This does not increase flow, it only diffuses it into a wider pattern.

As of the question on the distance, I am not sure but I believe no. As in the past if I recall the 6105 pumps has been said to do 6 or 7 by 2' area and the 6205 5' by 3'
