Quick question on if i can and how i would do this.

I bought a DIY moonlight kit from RapidLED. Is it possible to dim the moonlights using the variable controller on the apex or do i have to have a dimmable led controller as well? Here is what i have: http://www.rapidled.com/servlet/the-174/4-LED-Moonlight-Kit/Detail

If i can dim it via the apex, can you lend a hand on how i would go about that?

Much appreciated!

The info on the driver does not say that it is dimmable, so I would assume that it is not. If you did have a dimmable driver, it is not terribly difficult to control it via the VS ports of the Apex. The New User Guide stickied at the top of the forum has a section detailing how to do it.

Thanks for the response.. so the key is the driver on the leds to be dimmable, and it most likely isn't so im stuck with off and on correct?

Yes, the Apex VS Ports provide a 0-10VDC signal that the driver accepts to control the dimming. So without a dimmable driver, you can only do ON/OFF.
