So I am getting ready to go on vacation and I am looking for a good auto feeder to work on the apex so it will need to be a plug type not a battery type. does anyone know a good one that plays well with the apex?

I don't use the super feeder, I use the Ehiem but coordinate the times on that with the Apex and put the pumps into feed mode. I do this with a virtual outlet called 'Eheim'. It gets turned ON at the same times as the feeder (you could do it 10 minutes earlier and 10 minutes longer if you wanted).

If time = 12:00 to 12:10 then ON

Then in the various outlets I want to turn off like the skimmer or my Vortech's, I simply test to see if the eheim outlet is ON:

If outlet eheim = ON then OFF

or for the Vortechs

If outlet eheim = ON then Feed (feed is a profile I defined which sets the pumps to their feed speed of 500gph)

The Eheim feeder keeps pretty good time and I've not had a problem using this method. At $35 it's a lot less than the super feeder.
