I'll start by saying I've never had luck with zoas. Now on my current system I can keep them alive. But they grow like a vertically challenged person. Maybe I'm luck to get one head a month from each frag. I am running a fairly clean water. I can grow sps like weeds like wise on xeina too. My LFS told me my mag is to low. My mag is 1260ppm, cal is 440ppm. He said mag for zoas should be at 1360ppm. This is the first time I've heard that mag should be around 1360ppm. What do u guys think? Also if I slowly bumpy mag up will it effect my sps. I would rather have my sps over zoas

That's actually pretty low, I like keeping mine right at 1400 and the corals love it. SPS will do great with it too, stronger colors imo as long as you do it slowly. Whether that's the cause or not I'm not sure, it depends on the Zoanthids since some grow really slowly. I've kept them in ULN systems and they grew great but I was also dosing zeovit AAHC amino acids, which the SPS also loved :)
